50 Words or Less: Empties
Friday, December 14, 2018
Some empties that I've finished over the last few months. Some full sized, some samples. Nothing that I want to delve deep into if I can help it.
CLIO Kill Black Waterproof Pen. Well loved by r/kbeauty, I thought I'd give it a try. It's very black (at least it was when it was fresh) but much too shiny for my taste. The light catches on the wrinkles of the skin. $11 at YesStyle.

One coat of Kush Mascara |
Milk Makeup Kush Mascara. Gratuitous use of cannabis terms. Come on now, calling it Kush just because it has a minute trace of hemp oil? That's a stretch. It spoiled really quickly, smelled like cooking oil gone rancid at the 3 month mark. Just ok for a mascara. $12 for the mini.
Cremorlab Fresh Water Gel. Love deluxe samples, this was the perfect size to determine that this isn't for me. It absorbs so easily into the skin and leaves a soft, silky finish. My face DRINKS the light gel up though, I finished this in under 3 days. It's regularly $48 for 100ml.
Manyo Factory Galactomist. Didn't do much for me. Expensive water in a bottle. I used it a lot during long car drives with the AC blasting during the summer. $23 at MelodyCosme.
leegeeham Vita Propolis Ampoule. Again, didn't do much for me. I speculate that it's because it's redundant in my routine, I use the same ingredients elsewhere. $23 at Target.
JUNGSAEMMOOL High Tinted Liner. Reviewed here. Loved it, used most of this up before it dried up.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. It took me 2 YEARS to finish this! I like the thick ointment like texture that melts into a balm.Wish the opening had a nozzle/tip. Have a mini that will probably take me a year to finish, so not repurchasing anytime soon. $26 for .52oz.
Sol Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is a crowd favorite and well reviewed. It smells like Victoria's Secret stores. Not my thing. $45 for 8.1oz.
This was just the tip of the iceberg, I cleared out so many things the last few months. I moved my office and makeup into a new room and the downsizing meant significantly less storage. Mostly old makeup got the boot, things that I couldn't believe I had held onto for so long.
