50 Words or Less: This 'n' That
Sunday, April 1, 2018
Good evening!
Hope you've had a nice relaxing weekend! Today's edition of 50 Words or Less feature five products that aren't bound by a single theme and only loosely related in that they have to do with beauty. They're just five products that are not likely to get an individual post.
VDL Cosmetics Expert Color Primer. $19 for 13g.
I've gone through a whole slew of eye primers in the last two years. This is the only one I've repurchased. Doesn't get on my contacts, keeps my shadow intact as best as it can. Very similar to UDPP. Repurchased it in in the larger size.
Top row is over bare skin, bottom row in is over VDL Expert Color Primer:
The Detangler Smooth & Shine Brush
Sephora used to carry this. Hands down the worst thing I've ever put to my head. It's a boar and nylon ball tip paddle brush that somehow manages to snap hair, pull out strands, get super dirty easily, and always smelled weird from the beginning.
Hair Is Fabric Volume Support Cleansing Conditioner. $24 for 180ml, $58 for 1L,
Supposed to be high foaming, but the bubble game is pretty weak (but on par for SLS-free). I'm going through this really fast. It takes a generous tablespoon for each shampoo, rinses to a non-stripped fluffy clean head feel. Strong green scent. Would repurchase.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil. 50ml for £18.00.
Picked up the big bottle in Paris for 20 euro. I don't think I'll ever finish it! Very light, dry feeling oil with warm, rich fragrance. 1 spritz is more than enough for me (in terms of scent). Not something I want my face to smell like. I use on my hands and body.
Glossier Cloud Paints. $18 each, 10% off your first order.
I wore these a lot when I first ordered them, but then the rose tinted glasses fell from my eyes. Vivid out of the tube but not pigmented. I always underapply, and have to do round 2 - good if you're scared of blush! Prefer BECCA Beach Tints. Have been wearing Haze on my lips as a stain.
Left to right: Haze, Dusk, Beam.
Have a great week!
