Some KBShimmer Bath & Body Products
Thursday, July 10, 2014
Now I know I've posted about KBShimmer polishes before, but I haven't really said much about their bath and body products. A few weeks ago, they had a 20% sale and I used that opportunity to try out a lotion, a cuticle oil pen and a sugar scrub.
Southern Belle Lotion. $10 for 7.5 oz. The scent is described as:
Pink Sugar Cuticle Oil Pen. $6. Handy, portable cuticle oil pen with a sweet scent. It's a very lightweight oil that absorbs readily into the skin. I'd repurchase it but I have a tendency to never finish this sort of product, so we'll see. I'm always losing cuticle oils somehow.
Southern Belle Sugar Scrub. This was my favorite item of trio. Though like I've mentioned, I don't think this particular scent is for me, this scrub is marvelous. It really is. I like it so much better than any other scrub I've used. Other tend to leave an oily residue that never really absorbs into the skin. The KBShimmer Southern Belle Sugar Scrub leaves hands super silky and moisturized. I'm definitely going to order more when I run out, but you get a good portion for $10. One thing to note: Sacramento's hot weather definitely made this a runny mess, so I keep it in the fridge so that it stays solid, using a spoon to scrape a teaspoon of product at a time when I need it. I definitely would not store this in a humid shower or anything.
I'm definitely buying more of the sugar scrub, I'd buy the lotion as well (but in a different scent) and the jury is out on the cuticle pen, but only because I'm more likely to lose it than use it. They are nice products though, and I think they would make really nice gifts for any nail aficionado.
Have you tried any KBShimmer products, other than the nail polishes?

Sweet peaches ripe from the vine, hives dripping with golden honey, white picket fences and green grass, ahh, summer in the south. A fresh blends of ginger, peach, mango, clove, citrus, the body of this sweet fragrance combines orange blossom, rose, and jasmine. Rounding out the blend is a slight hint of musk and woods, the perfect blend for any women wanting to feel sweet and lovely.I have to admit, I'm was drawn in by the description but it didn't actually suit me. There's nothing wrong with the smell at all, it's just not for me. That being said, it's a very lovely lightweight lotion. It's perfect for use on the body but I also like to use it on my hands. When taking nail pictures, some hand creams are too emollient and photograph with a sheen, this lotion absorbs nicely and makes my hands soft but not slick.
