Arcane Lacquer Redefine Collection
Monday, May 19, 2014
Hello!
Today I have some swatches of new Arcane Lacquer shades. Out of all the indie brands out there, I think Arcane Lacquer best utilizes super fine flakes, fine sparkle and small glitter. The Redefine Collection consists of four shades that are filled with micro flakes that flash different colors. The names are: Echo, Just A Phase, Oil & Water and Make A Move.
Oil & Water. Three coats. A slick black jelly with green/blue micro flakes.
Echo. Three coats. A bright magenta jelly with silvery little flakes.
Just A Phase. Three coats. Teal jelly packed with these translucent blue iridescent micro glitter and flakes of purple/pink/gold.
Make A Move. Three coats. A mulberry creme base with golden micro flakes.
All four of these shades are extremely beautiful. If you love delicate but striking combinations of fine flakes, these are just the polishes for you. I'm particularly crazy about Make A Move, because purple-ish color + gold is just always a winning move. The application all four polishes was great but the wear on the glassy formula of Echo wasn't superb (quite a bit of chipping). The bottles pictured here are press sample minis, full sized bottles are 12ml.
Arcane Lacquer can be purchased here, at the Etsy store. The store is based in Australia, so for North American orders check out Llarowe and Harlow & Co, while Norway Nails and Mei Mei's Signatures service other international regions.
