Candy Cane Nails
Friday, December 23, 2011
After having the day off, I'm in a much better mood now and actually feeling a bit festive. I changed my mani to something a bit more seasonal. Candy cane nails. So easy to do free hand- start with a base of pure white, and alternate thick and thin red stripes.
My pointer finger is a bit streaky because I forgot that I was using OPI Top Coat for the first time instead of my usual Seche Vite and as it turns out, you are not supposed to use it on top of damp polish the way you use fast dry top coats. Whoops.
I used a mixture of Sally Hansen Polar Bare and Ulta Snow White as my base color, and Ulta Deck the Halls (how appropriate) as the red striping.
Have a great night!
